Bridgett "Bitzie" A. Pennington, 71, of Weirton, WV passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, at her home with her family by her side. Born November 21, 1945, in Dubuque, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Wilber D. and Maybeth Henry Clark. Bitzie's greatest joy in life was taking care of her family. She loved cooking for large family gatherings and caring for everyone to make their lives easier. She was very crafty and enjoyed doing ceramics. She loved animals, especially butterflies. She is survived by her husband William "Mike" Pennington; sons Jeff (Jo Lynn Mark) and Jerry Van Horn, both of Weirton and Jamie Van Horn (Danna) of Colliers, WV; daughter Jennifer Young (Jason) of East Liverpool, OH; brother James D. Clarke (Pam) of Weirton, sisters Faith Nichols (George) and Melody Clark, both of Weirton; grandchildren Taylor, Josh and Lyla Van Horn, Jacey, Jasmin and Jaylin Young. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 2:00 until the 3:00pm memorial service at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.   2. So sorry to hear of “Bitzie’s passing. Our children grew up together & are still friends to this day.

  3. I grew up a few houses down from the Clarks on Glencairn Rd in Weirton. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, especially Faith and Melody [who I remember very well]. I don’t think that I will be able to make it to the funeral home, but ALWAYS REMEMBER: Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal BUT Love leaves memories that no one can steal. God Bless You All

  4. So sorry for your loss. I remember having so much fun at the Clarke Home and then going over to Bitzie’s. She was always so fun and full of life. She will be missed so much by her entire family . God Bless and my prayers are with you all.
