Charles James Licata, 62, of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center West. He was born February 1, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Charles and Frances Polizzi Licata. His daughter Marisa Dawn Licata passed on August 1, 2007. Charles was formerly employed by Starvaggi Industries as a welder, and later retired from Murphy Consolidated Industries as a welder with over ten years of service. He was a member of St Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, the Weirton Seniors Center, the Boiler Makers Union #147, and AARP. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed family outings and was considered the grill master. He loved history, especially Civil War history. He played in many billiard tournaments at the Senior Center with his many friends. As a handyman around the house he loved cement finishing and painting projects. Charles is survived by his wife Donna Kaye Bever of Weirton, his sons, Christopher Charles, Michael Ryan, and Jared Scott Licata, all of Weirton; brothers Anthony (Barbara) Licata of Toronto, OH, Joseph (Shirley) Licata of Weirton, WV, Sam (Kathryn) Licata of Newell, WV and Michael (Elaine) Licata of Follansbee, WV; and granddaughters, Isabella and Vanessa Licata. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home , 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at 11:00 am at St Paul Catholic Church, Weirton. Interment will be at St Paul Cemetery, Weirton, WV.   13. Dear Family of Chuckie Licata, We extend to you our sincere sympathy at the passing of your Dear one. I grew up in the Neighborhood many years ago and had all the respect for the Licata family. I have a lot of great memories of our cove childhood. Just the other day I was looking at pictures of Chuckie, Sammy, my sister Sandra, and my brother Tommy as we were watching home movies at the Ross’s home.
