Cheryl Jean Hargest, 61, of Burgettstown, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at her home. Born November 27, 1950 in Rochester, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Smith Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her brother Robert Wilson. Mrs. Hargest was a beautician and is survived by her husband Robert Hargest of Burgettstown; daughter Amy Ash of Weirton; brother Jim Wilson and his wife Val of Hookstown, PA; sister Beth Ann Morrow of Beaver Falls, PA; grandchildren Brooke and Hunter Ash and sister-in-law Carol Wilson. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be celebrated 12 noon Saturday. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. A time for fellowship will be scheduled at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, One Children's Hospital Drive, Central Plant, Floor 3, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224-1342.

  8. The things my family should remember about Cheryl is how when we lost Jeremy, she was there to provide food at the funeral home, taking care of our family. The most important, she was the bestest Grandma ever to Brooke and Hunter. We used to joke about that.

Cheryl and I met many years ago at Melody Lane and I remember all the good times we had over the years. Amy, I feel very blessed that years later you became a very good friend to Donny.
