Darla Joy Pyles, 57, of Colliers, passed away Monday May 11, 2015 at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1957, in Weirton, W.V., a daughter of the late John "Jack" Thomas and Naomi "Mami"(Barr) Cunningham. She was also preceded in death by her brother Rick Thomas and sister Michelle Thomas.
Darla was a homemaker who was an excellent cook. She loved tending to her house plants and flowers while watching the wildlife and chickens on her small farm. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her mother Naomi "Mami" (Barr) Cunningham and step-father John "J.C." Cunningham, loving husband Dennis Pyles, of Colliers, whom she married on June 23, 2001, a son Zachary Pyles of Weirton, daughters Jenna Marie (Jarett) Bain of Weirton and Rebecca Elizabeth (James) Lackey of Steubenville, grandson Joseph Christopher Bain, granddaughter's Arianna Elizabeth Highsmith and Alison Jean Lackey, brother John Thomas of Texas, and many other loving family members.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-7 P.M at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton.
A Memorial Service will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 P.M.

Sorry for the loss of your dear love one. This is always a difficult and painful experience. We wonder if we will ever see them again. May you take comfort in the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ, when he said “do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs (graves), will hear his voice and come out”. (John 5:28, 29). Yes, millions now dead will live again, on the soon to be restored earthly paradise, when sickness, pain and death are no more. (Luke 23:43; Psalm 37:10,11, 29.)
I\’m so sorry for your loss. Darla was a wonderful friend. We had lots of laughs. I will remember her always. Rest in Peace and May God Bless you, Darla.
