The first time I met Dave was at the annual golf Christmas get together. What a nice and out of this world sense of humor!!!.Toni, I will miss his laugh and making me feel like family when I was with the two of you. : My deepest condolences to Toni, the children, his brother Ray and the rest of the family on Dave’s passing. I am sincerely saddened to hear of his passing. While at WHS, Dave and I shared the same homeroom, and duties as equipment managers for the greatest football team in the school’s history. Although we grew apart upon graduation from WHS, there are fond memories to be remember for the remaining years to come. May he be held in the hands of Christ Jesus to welcome him into his eternal rest.

To Dave Hinerman’s Family Please accept Vic and my condolences on the passing of Dave. Dave was a good and kind man. We became friends while we were umpires in the Weirton Association. We had many good times and I will sadly miss him. He always joked about liking me even though I was a coach at Brooke High. With Dave’s passing there will be a void in many peoples lives. Accept our prayers and sympathies. We regret that we will not be able to pay our respects in person due to the fact we our in Florida. He will be missed. One of the best there ever was. I met coach Hinerman when he was an umpire for my little league team. I remember him helping me through games more so than my own coach did. Little did I know that we would be spending several years together on the field down the road, from kings creek ball all the way through high school. He was one of the most amazing people I’ve ever known. The kindness, the time he dedicated…he became like a second father to me for so many years and I couldn’t believe it when I’d learned of his passing. Sending my condolences and so many prayers to you Toni and Alissa. He left such an impact on so many people over the years and will be so very missed!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Hinerman at a local facility I was working. He was a little down on my last day of work that week. I spent quite some time talking to him. He was very proud of his family, loved his dog and mainly his wife. He spoke so highly of her. With tears in his eyes he thanked me for taking time to talk to him. I may on occasion had to give him a “rough time” but he listened to me. My thoughts and prayers for your family. I hope you don’t mind me sharing this moment, sometimes there are certain people you come across in life for a reason for. May he be in heaven in peace (and enjoying DeeJays) He was looking forward to taking his wife out and wanted me to meet her.

Alissa and Hinerman Family, Sad to hear about Dave’s passing. Always enjoyed him as a parent, umpire, and just good guy. May God give comfort to you all in this time of grief, and grant his soul rest,

He was a great coach and friend. I will miss his hugs, smile and those “blue eyes”! He will never be forgotten. Always there when you needed him. I still have the ceramic softball figurine he had made for his entire softball team; which I treasure with all the good times I had with him !

Rest in Peace Mr. Hinerman. I will always cherish our fond memories together. Whether you were behind the plate or in the field, you always found time to share with me a laugh or a learning moment. I thank you. Our relationship began as a youth player and an Umpire. It grew to a friendship and mutual respect for one another. Your legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who had the pleasure of meeting you.

Condolences to the Hinerman family. We got to know Dave when our boys were playing ball down at “the Creek”. Our boys always respected him as an umpire and more importantly, as a person. This relationship continued through their years of high school ball. Just a great guy, he will be missed. RIP Dave.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dave. We met at Weirton Steel and continued our friendship while umpiring baseball and softball together. I was truly blessed to have Dave as a friend and cherish all of the memories. Toni, My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Dave was an incredible man! He was such an encourager to me! He would often ask for prayer and would tell me “I am in good with the Big Guy!” He gave gum and candy to many of the people who sat around him in church. He was a big supporter of my wife and daughter. I will always cherish the memories of him. I can still remember the expression on his face when I told him we were leaving the church to move to Sand Fork. He was a cherished friend and a wonderful person.
