David Lee White, 36, of Buford, GA, formerly of Weirton passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at the Gwinnett County Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA. Born February 18, 1972, in Zanesville, Ohio, he is the son of David L. and Sunny Jo Cunningham White. He was a 1990 graduate of Weir High School. He attended Jefferson Community College and graduated from the Police Academy in Athens GA. David served in the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, where he was Sergeant, and head of the drug task force. He also worked with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He is a Nazarene by faith and an avid motorcycle rider. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his two sons, Joseph D. and Cole C. White both of Buford, GA. He also leaves many loving aunts and uncles. Friends will be received Sunday 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 11AM Monday. WELL I KNOW IN THE PAST YEAR HE HAS NOT BEEN HISELF. BUT NOW HE HAS GONE TO A PLACE THAT HE HAS NO MORE PAIN AND NO MORE WORRIES. THERE WILL NEVER BE A DAY HE WILL NOT BE WITH US, A PASSING OF A BIKE OR SMALL RED HEADED CHILD. JUST HOLD ON TO ALL THE GREAT THINGS HE DID IN THE 36 YEARS HE WAS WITH US. BEACUSE THE GOOD SURE OUT WEIGHS THE BAD. GOD BLESS BOTH OF YOU. AND KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THE BOTH OF YOU. TODAY ALL OF OUR FAMILY WILL START A NEW CHAPDER OF OUR LIVES WITH MISSING HIM. I will always remember his frankness and straight forwardness. Both of which I respected and liked in him. May God bless you now and receive him. He will be missed by his family mostly but the human race frankly lost a hell of a guy.
