Donna Marie Opet Kidd

Donna Marie Opet Kidd of Weirton passed away on August 22, 2020 at the age of 63. Donna was born to the late Joseph and Helen Opet on March 5, 1957 at the old Weirton General Hospital. She attended St. Paul’s grade school and graduated from Weir Senior High School in 1975. In her younger years she worked at the G.C. Murphey store and still remembered with pride how the aquariums and fish looked under her care. Later in life, Donna was a homemaker during her marriage to her beloved husband Rusty. She loved being Aunt Donna to her beloved nieces, Emma and Charlotte (Charlee) Opet, and human friend to her tuxedo cats, Bubba and Boo-boo. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her nieces, Emma and Charlee, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Steve and Ilene Opet of Fayetteville, NC, Charles (CJ) and Heather Opet of Meadville, PA and her many cousins, aunts and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn (Rusty) Kidd, and her parents Joseph and Helen Opet. There will be a memorial service for family at a date to be announced. The family asks that if you feel the need to send something, please make a small donation in Donna’s name to either the American Cancer Society or the Hancock County Animal Shelter .
