Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We love you with all our heart and you will be sorely missed here on earth but there is a celebration in heaven with all you have gone ahead of you. Oh what a wonderful reuion that must be. Love, Diane & Jerry

  2. Soft and safe to thee, our sister, be thy earthly bed. We thank God in whom we live, and move, and have our being, for having shared your life with us. For all the good things you said and did. For your loving husband and extended family. Your bright star is shining and we look forward to seeing you in Heaven.

  3. She was a beautiful and caring woman. I have some good memories of her and Uncle Tony. Once when I visited them, she gave me some money and Uncle Tony “stole” it and Aunt Dot and I chased him all over the house and yard in Virginia. I also reminded her of this funny time when we visited her after she had her stroke and she said “IIIIIIIII!” I also read the Adventures of the Toad and Mole to her. I will miss her.

  4. We had fond memories, You will be greatly missed. Love Spooky and Barbara

  5. I remember the first time I saw Dorothy…all I could say was “WOW”. Her red hair perfectly styled in a bun, her green jumpsuit, flawless makeup and gorgeous jewelry. Growing up in Weirton, you don’t run into women like this everyday! And she becomes my step-mother! She and my father lived a life in Washington, DC unlike any I had known…she worked for congressmen on Capitol Hill, he owned some of the most trendy restaurants where politicians, name musicians and celebrities dined. I was shown a side of life that inspired me. My son Brandon said it best when he described her as “tough”. From her life in Williamston, to her last days, she endured some seemingly unsurmountable challenges…but always triumphed. My brother Frank and I need to credit her for many good things that happend in our lives. We learned through observing her, laughed when she got angry with our father, and grew as individuals. I pray that she is at peace, free of pain and surrounded by family and friends who have gone before her. Rest in Peace… Roxanne

  6. Dot and I were in high school together. She was a very sweet person. We had a typing class together and she could really type well. She was from a very nice family. We love her brother Jerry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  7. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. When I think of Dorothy, I think of many good memories, involving eating dinner at your home on Sundays.

  8. Aunt Dot was a wonderful person. She always had a great personality. I hope she is finally at peace. I have always prayed for her to get well, but I know the Lord will take great care of her. You will always be remembered and in our thoughts and prayers. We love you always.

  9. I was saddened to hear of Dot’s passing, but we have been aware of her extended illness. Dot was a sweet girl in high school and a special friend. I know she carried that capacity to love to her family and will be greatly missed.

  10. With sympathy on your loss. I worked w/ Roxanne at the credit union and I baked X-Mas cookies for Dorothy many years ago and mailed them to her in Washington.
