Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My dearest JoAnn, Howard and I send our heartfelt love and sympathy upon hearing the death of Bill. God was good not to let him suffer more than he already has. There was a place in heaven and God called him to fill it. It is sad but joyfully happy to know he is at peace now and in a much better place. Our love, prayers and thoughts are now with you. Please take care of you. Sending all our love, we are here if you need us. Howard and JoAnn

  2. Family of Dr. Mikita, We are sorry to learn of the death of William. He was a dear friend of our Mom and Dad Coach Hamill and Helen. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He was such a caring and giving person. Sincerely, Jerry and Carl Alan Hamill

  3. Please accept my condolences. I worked with Dr Mikita at Weirton Medical Center, witnessing his generosity in caring for indigent and uninsured patients, when others shunned them.I truly respected him for his acts of kindness.

  4. Dear Judy and Family, I’m so sorry about your loss. Your Father was a great surgeon and a really nice guy too. I’ll never forget all that he did for my Grandfather making him whole again after a bad auto accident had shattered both legs. Thanks to Dr. Mikita, he walked again and led a normal life afterwords. May God bless Dr. Mikita and keep him.

  5. I graduated from the Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1974. Dr. Mikita walked the fastest of any doctor there when making rounds. He was always a gentleman. God Bless and accept my sympathy.

  6. On behalf on the family of Peggy Franckhauser, RN, please accept our condolences and regard for Dr. Mikita.

  7. Dear Carol,Billie,Judy, and Stevie, There’s so much that I can tell you about your Dad. He was my cha-cha partner in the O R as we would wait for an emergency to be brought up for surgery. He felt terrible that he wasn’t at our wedding. I scrubbed for him, did anesthesia for him, and laughed with him and at him. He was so much fun. I remember playing tennis with him and Billy against Billie Milosevich and me. Also remember him being the fastest golfer on the planet. I haven’t seen him for many years, but have inquired about him. I enjoyed watching him and your mother enforce table manners at the country club, and am sure they did the same thing at home. When he saw me correct my children, he remarked, “Reg, you’re too hard on those kids.”. I was telling my son which fork he shoud use at the time. He was a good man and a good and generous friend. My work schedule prevents my visittomorrow. Our deepst sympathy, and kind regards, Dr. and Mrs. Francis Sunseri. (Sunny and Reggi)

  8. My deepest sympathies to all of you. Your Dad is now at peace and reunited with your Mom. God Bless.

  9. We were very sorry to hear of Dr. Mikita’s passing. We knew him and your mom a long time ago. He took care of our son’s club feet (he is now 46) and also of other matters for both of us. He was a wonderful man and someone you can be very proud of.

  10. Dear JoAnn, We are so sorry for your loss, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love always, Mae, Bob Jr. and Debbie

  11. To the Mikita family, especially to Carole and Stevie, whom I haven’t seen in thirty-five years (but the memories are happy ones) – I am saddened to read of the loss of a wonderful man, who was truly gifted in healing and comforting those in need. You have my thoughts and prayers in this time of sadness.
