  1. To Mrs. Olenick and the Family: I was deeply moved to see that Edmund has died. What a blessing to have died in the Octave of Easter — old world tradition says that the deceased goes straight to Heaven! I shall never forget that Emily and Edmund came to my father’s Memorial Mass, their show of symapthy and sincere kindness shall never be forgotten on my part. Furthermore, your family has left a lasting impact in my life. Your daughter Connie, was and remains a “turning point” teacher in my life. thus, I have the utmost respect and fondness for you all. I regret that work and distance shall keep me from making it to Weirton for the wake or funeral. I shall hold you all in my prayers. Respectfully, Stas` Tuchalski

  2. Emily and Family, Our deepest sympathy in your loss. Ed’s presence in that front pew will only be physical as his spirit lives on. He is smiling on us today and when we meet again he will be the first to give us his big hug. He has impacted all of our lives. Peace in Christ, Jim and Linda Pauchnik

  3. I am very sorry about the loss of such a wonderful man. The few times that I got to spend time with him were very memoriable and very enjoyable. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

  4. Our condolences as we’ve just learned that God has called Ed home. It’s hard to imagine Sacred Heart without him there. I happily recall Ed as a mentor, an example of how lay people could get involved in their church, and the value of giving of ones time and talents back to God. May you too find comfort in his memory. May God bless you all.

  5. Dear Olenick family, I wish to offer up our sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Olenick. I will always remember him as a gentleman. He truly was someone who you could point to as an example of what a Christian should be. He was a dear friend and my family and I grieve with you. Rest assured that there is peace and solace in the arms of Jesus. Best regards. Stan & Jill Poszywak

  6. Dear Olenick Family: In my earlier expression of sympathy I forgot to make mention of one thing… As a member of the Development Board of the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help of St. Louis, I made contact with the Leadership Team to inform them of Edmund’s death. I know that Edmund and Emily have been generous benefactors of the Sisters for many years. As a member of the Development Board, I thank you for your countless years of generosity and assure you that the Sisters have been remembering Edmund and his dear family in their prayers at this time. Sincerely, Stas` Tuchalski
