eugene adams
Eugene K. Adams, 77, of Weirton, passed away Friday, October 02, 2015 in the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH. He was born May 9, 1938 in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of the late George and Mildred Kerby Adams. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Russell. Mr. Adams retired from the Accounting Department of Weirton Steel. He was a member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, Lions Club and WSX 25-Year Club. He was very involved with this grandchildren's activities, was known to be an extraordinary storyteller, an avid car enthusiast, as well as a Steeler and WVU fan. Eugene is survived by his wife Karen Ann (Rhoades) Adams of Weirton, whom he married October 14, 1972; sons George, Jr. and Michael "Mike" A. (Susan M.) Adams all of Weirton and Christopher John "Christo" (Nicole) Adams of Atlanta, GA and grandchildren Amelia Alexis, Nicolas and Nolan. Visitation will be held Sunday 4-8pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Monday from 9 until the 10am funeral service at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church with the Reverend Father Frank Milanese officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Post Office Box 2499, Weirton, WV 26062.
