evelyn stasko
Evelyn Stasko beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2020. Born January 13, 1920, in Pittsburgh, PA. Evelyn was a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Pula) Czernek. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her loving husband Albert J. Stasko, brother Leon Gabia, and sisters Sophia Rambis, Jean Irvin, and Florence Duckworth. During WWII, Evelyn worked for Weirton Steel as a tin flopper. After her marriage, she devoted her life to her family, filling every gathering with love and laughter. Evelyn nourished her strong faith at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church where she was an active member of the Christian Mothers for many years. She belonged to several card clubs, bowling leagues, and loved to attend dances with her husband, especially Polka dances. After his retirement, they enjoyed traveling the country on bus trips with their many good friends from AARP and Four Season Senior Groups, but nothing brought her more joy than time with her family.
