Evelyn Stoica

Evelyn Stoica, 89, of Weirton passed away Sunday March 16, 2014 at the Life Line Hospital in Wintersville OH. Born on March 10, 1925, in Weirton, WV, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Paul and Gladys Lawrence Frey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Stoica on February 27, 1992. For many years, Evelyn was a secretary for the Independent Steelworkers Union in Weirton. In her free time she enjoyed reading, cooking and traveling. Evelyn was a member of Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church. Evelyn is survived by her son, John P. "Toby" Stoica and his wife Leota of Weirton, WV; her granddaughters, Shelley Zelechowski, Stephanie Blocker and Sonya Locke. In accordance with Evelyn's wishes her body was donated to the West Virginia University Gift Registry. There will be no traditional viewing or funeral services.
