Frank Charles Collo, 67 of Weirton passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2003, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born November 26, 1936, in Weirton, WV, the son of the late Alexander, and Emma Boniti Collo. His sister Helen Collo also preceded him. Frank retired from the Weirton Steel Company where he worked in the Sheet Mill Department as a laborer. He had 42 years of service. He was a member of St Paul Roman Catholic Church, 25 year club of Weirton Steel, and the Assorted Bunch Bowling League. He is survived by his brother, Albert Collo; sisters, Mary Frazee and her husband Gene, Regina Truax and her husband Carl, Janet Backel and her husband John all of Weirton, nephews Gary Frazee, Christopher and Jason Backel, nieces Leslie Taflan, Denise Jones, Deanna Hvizdak, Donna Kolanko, and eleven great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2003 from 3:00 to 9:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 11:00 AM at St Paul’s Church, Weirton. Interment will follow at St Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
