Garnel Johnson Earley, Jr., 58, of Weirton died January 7, 2001 at Weirton Medical Center.
He was born January 20, 1942 in Steubenville, Ohio the son of the late Garnel Johnson Earley, Sr. and Lucille Coleman Earley Burns of Weirton.
He was manager of Production Planning at Weirton Steel Tin Mill with 40 years of service. He was a member of Weirton Steel 25 year Club, AARP, ACME Lodge No 83 F.D.A.M. Michigan City, IN.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Harriet Clegg Earley of Weirton, a son, Garnel Johnson Earley III of Weirton, two daughters; Mrs. Bill (Denise) Blakemore of Weirton and Mrs. Jeff (Michelle) Weinfurter of Anaheim, CA, two step-daughters Mrs. Steve (Paula) Bennett of Burgettstown, PA and Carla Powell of Gautier, MS; one brother Donald W. Earley and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday January 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 10 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

To the family of Garn, I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Garn. He did not work in my particular department, but I knew him to see him over the years.
