Haki Alan “Spike” Turani of Weirton passed away at The Wyngate Senior Living Community on Monday, October 4, 2021; he was 84 years old. Born on January 14, 1937, in Weirton, he was one of four born to Haki and Mary Toth Turani. Haki was Lutheran by faith and was a graduate of Weir High School.   He retired as a foreman in the strip Steel Department from the former Weirton Steel Corporation in 1992 with over twenty-five years of service. He also served in the US Army Reserve. He enjoyed boating, traveling, and sports, particularly the WVU Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Haki’s wife, Dolores who preceded him in death on April 4, 2018, was his faithful companion and the love of his life. In addition to his parents and wife, Haki was additionally preceded in death by his sister Barbara F. McKnight and brothers Wilburt H. and Benny A. Turani. He will be remembered with love by his numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, from 10:30 AM until the 12-noon funeral service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.   8. My dear dear ole Uncle Spike! I have so many fond, fun memories of you ! I will mention one of many, we were playing a VHS horse racing game” Lets go To The Races” at Mom & Dad`s house. You & Dad had binoculars , were standing up shouting at your horse, slapping your legs w/ your “program”. It was hilarious We were all laughing so hard!!!!
