Helen Sheposh

Helen Sheposh, 92, of Weirton passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. Born on October 29, 1920 in Weirton, WV she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Bessie Stock Goresh. Helen was also preceded in death by her husband Michael Sheposh in 1983, three brothers John, Frank and Andrew Goresh and four sisters Mary Souchak, Ann Bobalick, Olga Kruel and Evelyn Goresh.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church where she was active with the Altar Society, and VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, Michael T. Sheposh (Barbara) of Follansbee, WV, Anthony J. Sheposh (Shelly) of Steubenville, OH and William A. Sheposh of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren Jennifer Mahan (J.C.), Emily McGuire (Shey), Meredith Sheposh, A.J. Sheposh, Lindsay Kirsch (Michael) and Kyle Sheposh (Alisha); seven great-grandchildren Fiona and Calder Mahan, Aven, Elin, and Tobin Michael McGuire, Cameron Kirsch and Carter Sheposh.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 10AM until the 11AM funeral service at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 604 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Weirton.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in her memory.
To all the Sheposh family, my deepest sympathy on your loss of your Mother. I have fond memories of Helen from the St Nicholas church. May the Lord be with you in your time in need.

Helen was my friend . We both sat at the same table for every meal at the Laurals . She was always looking through her purse thinking she had to pay for her meal and I used to tell her no Helen the meals are free!. I wanted to send my condolence to the family, I was so sorry to her of her passing.
For my beloved Godmother ….. May her memory be eternal.
