Helen Zosia Brosky

Loving wife and mother, Helen Zosia Brosky, 90, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009 at her home. Born July 4, 1918 in Weirton, she was the daughter of Stanley and Bernice (Rygalski) Blasczak. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Walter, Joseph and Peter Blasczak and sisters Anna Powell, Mary Gaca, Emma Nowicki and Nellie Wieloh.
Mrs. Brosky was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church and the Rosary & Christian Mother's Society. She was a member and treasurer of the E.T. Weir Senior Citizens Club, treasurer of PWA Juvenile Council and member of PNA and PWA.
Helen is survived by her husband of 66 years, Frank Brosky of Weirton; son Michael (Joanna) of Missouri and daughter Frances Ann (Guido) of Maryland; granddaughter Stacy and great-grandchildren McKenzie and Austin.
Friends will be received Sunday from 4-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where a prayer service will be held at 7:30PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Monday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Kent Durig will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.

When St. Augustine’s mother left this world he said “Let us not be sad for having lost her, but be glad for having had her”. Our mothers may be gone, but we know they still watch over us every day. Dear Fran and Michael, My memories of your mother will last my life time. There are many but these are my favorties: Do you think my dad and uncle Joe are trying to boss your mom? I bet other angels are lining up for her home made pizza? I’m sure her infectious laughter is filling heaven? “OH” how she LOVED your family and her brothers. Family meant everything to Aunt Zosia. Dear Mike & Jo & Stacy, There are never the right words to say to people you love when they lose someone so special in their lives. Mike, your Mom was a sweet and loving woman. I know we only met her a couple of times but that was an evident fact. I’m sure she will be missed, but heaven just went up a notch with her there.
