Howard Thomas Beynon, of Weirton, died October 9, 2020, after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. He was 60 years old. Howard was born in Weirton, WV, on April 9, 1960, the youngest of five children born to John Kenneth and Patricia Dee Ingalls Beynon. Howard grew up in Weirton and graduated from Weir High School in 1978. In 1980 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for four years. As a corporal in the marines, serving in Beruit, Howard took great pride in serving his country as a helicopter mechanic. His knowledge and love of aircraft and airplanes carried with him throughout his life. When Howard returned to Weirton, he accepted a job as a lithographer with Anchor Hocking, which later became Crown Cork and Seal. He worked as a lithographer for decades until he was not physically able. He then changed careers and was trained to be a Black Jack dealer at Mountaineer Racetrack and Gaming Resort. In 1987 Howard met Sharon Canella, and it was love at first sight. They married on June 17, 1989, and they enjoyed 33 happy years together. They would not change them for the world. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching WVU and Steeler football, and riding their Harley Davidson. They cherished the rides out west to Colorado, Arizona, South Dakota, and New Mexico. For fun, Howard, a talented singer, enjoyed singing karaoke. Howard and Sharon nourished their faith at Weirton Alliance Church. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jeffrey R. and Douglas K. Beynon. He will be remembered with love by his wife, Sharon Canella Beynon; his brother, Kevin S. Beynon; his sister, Janice E. Moore; his brothers and sisters in law, Sarvey and Maria Canella, and Natalie and Mike May, an Gail Beynon; his nieces and nephews, Sean, Jennifer, Danielle, Michael, Adam, Jonathan, Zachary, Nicholas, Gino, Ciara, Michael, Michael, Sarah and Andrew; and his beloved American Eskimo/Shelty, Mia. Howard will be cremated with no formal funeral services. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
