Jo Ann F. Brancazio, 78, of Weirton passed away on Tuesday April 29, 2014, at her home. Born on April 21, 1936, in Weirton, WV, she was a daughter of the late William W. and Mary Barsnack Almasy, Sr. Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Cosmo Brancazio, whom she married on May 19, 1956, her three daughters, Loretta McCune and Dr. Lisa Brancazio (Niederberger) both of Pittsburgh, PA, and Catherine Dillon of Hamilton, NJ; a brother, William (Barb) Almasy, JR. of Wellsburg, WV; two sisters, Norma (Joe) Tokash of Weirton, WV and Laura McCullough of Follansbee, WV; eight grandchildren, Joseph, Michael and Daniel McCune, Claire, Julie and Sara Niederberger, Patrick and Caroline Dillon; in-laws John and Helen Brancazio, Tony and Lena Paolo and Mary Rollison and many nieces and nephews. Jo Ann was a former employee with Al Shaw Jewelers in Weirton and L.S. Jewelers in Robinson Town Center. Jo Ann was an avid reader, a talented seamstress, a great cook, and enjoyed decorating and gardening around her home. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her three daughters and eight grandchildren. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Visitation will be Friday 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Manuel Gelido will preside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mary H. Weir Public Library, 3442 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062 (weirton.lib.wv.us)
