Joan Eleanor Kimble

.Joan Eleanor Kimble, 75, of Weirton passed from the loving arms of her family to the loving arms of Jesus on July 7, 2019. A daughter of the late John Benjamin Cox and Dorothy Mae Hartung Harris, Joan was born on October 7, 1943, in Wheeling, WV. In addition to her parents, Joan was also preceded in death by her step father, Arthur Lee Harris; her brother, Jackie Johnson; her sister, Margie Thomas; and her grandson, Gerald Abercrombie. A homemaker, Joan cherished spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always was willing to host parties, at her home with her family. She enjoyed shopping and line dancing with her sisters. She also enjoyed square dancing and scrapbooking, and singing in the choir. She loved her church, the Colonial Baptist Church, in Wintersville, OH. She will be remembered with love by her husband, Larry, whom she married on January 10, 1969; her son, Douglas and April Kimble of Hookstown, PA; her daughters, Laura and George Price and Jennifer and Scott Abercrombie all of Weirton; her sisters, Dorothy “Ruth” Huffman and her twin sister, Jean Kimble both of Weirton, and Judy and Joe Ellis of Martins Ferry, OH; her ten grandchildren, Brandon and Bradley Price, Tim Smith, Caitlyn Kimble, Mark (Cara) Rhodes, Amanda, Ryan (Rachel), Sydney, Emma, and Nathan Abercrombie; and her great grandchildren, Braden and Lucas Smith, Ethan Abercrombie, Selah, Annalise and Levi Rhodes. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where her funeral service will be held 11 AM on Wednesday. Pastor Randy Sells will preside.
