Obituary
John P. Tunacik, 83, of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Weirton, died Tuesday, Feb 27, in
IN. He was born July 12, 1917 in Clarksburg, WV.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Grega Tunacik. 2 sisters: Opal Zigmont and Anna Yonavjak and 3 brothers: Peter, Paul and George Tunacik.
John retired from National Steel with 33 years service. He was a member of St. Paul church in Valparaiso and a WWII Army Veteran.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel M and Jo Ellen Tunacik, a daughter Julie Blackburn and 6 Grandchildren: John, Kathryn, Dan Jr., and Mark Tunacik, and Ryan and Laura Blackburn all of Valparaiso.
Visitation will be Friday, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton.
Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton, WV.
