Josephine DeFelice

Josephine DeFelice, 88, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Sienna Skilled Nursing, Wintersville. Born June 11, 1929 in Belmonte Calabria, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Angela (Pate) Contumelio. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert J. DeFelice; sisters Rosario Guglielmo and Mary Magnone and brother Albert Contumelio. Josephine was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed crocheting. She also loved to cook and garden. She is survived by her two daughters Jeanette (Roy) Gryskevich and Virginia DeFelice, both of Weirton; brother Alfred (Gloria) Contumelio of Burgettstown; sister-in-law Angela Contumelio and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4, 6-8 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
