Joyce Ann Manteau

Joyce Ann Manteau, 76, of Weirton died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 4, 1942 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Helen Tingler Truax. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gary Manteau; brother Darrell Truax and sisters Marion Luskow, Beatrice Janoski, Ethel Henwood and Naomi Lynch.
Joyce retired from Rite Aid where she worked as a cashier. She enjoyed playing bingo and story telling with her friends and family. She loved learning about history, especially Weirton history.
She is survived by her four sons Gary Manteau, Michael (Alaina) Manteau, Scott Manteau, all of Weirton and Chris (Chrissy) Manteau of Manchester, TN; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Carl (Regina) Truax of Weirton and sister Lois Gibson of Baraboo, WI.
Friends will be received on Friday from 5-7 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM. Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate.
Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.

I have many wonderful memories with our aunt Joyce starting back from when we were kids till now. She was my best friend and I loved being around her. She has the greatest fun personality of anyone I’ve ever met. We had long phone calls with lots of laughter and visits with lots of chatting about the good old days. I will miss her and I will always love her.💖💖
