  3. Although we lived far apart we still stayed in touch by phone, messaging, and the Bible Study. Sheila, I am so sorry and will definitely be praying for you. We never know what the next minute will bring, but we can rely on the Lord to help us through difficult times. It is times like this when we only see one set of footprints in the sand because the Lord is carrying us. Much Love and Prayers, Chuck Andrews Jr.

  4. Mr. & Mrs. Orlando, Melanie, Dan, and family,

Our family’s deepest heartfelt condolences for your loss of a very special soul and dear long friend of mine since Jr. High. We spent many days over the years talking on the phone; and, when he was getting deep into photography he’d spend time on the phone with my husband, Wayne, and they would spend time talking “F stop technology” and other camera ideas, as Wayne spent over four decades in the business. When he came home, we spent a lot of time together and talked much and laughed about the ol’ days. He would lift me up and quote Spiritual verses from the Bible when I was having a low day; and, he was simply an amazing man. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around you and lift you up giving you the strength and courage to continue on through the days, weeks, and months ahead. As Wayne told Kenny, when he was heading back to CO, we’re right here for you if there is anything you need.

Kenny, when I told you if you needed strength or felt alone the other day, to take your right hand and put it over your left shoulder and your would know I was with you; and moreover, to remember that God was always with you and carrying you….I guess He felt your struggles were over and carried you home. Please check in on us from time to time. Your pain is no more and we have a beautiful Angel to be in the Lord’s choir (or Band).

    All our love and blessings,
Wayne, Holly, Thomas, Austin, Christopher (& Buddy)

  10. Ken, Shelia and Melanie,
I am so very sorry for your loss.
I just heard and I’m heartbroken at the news. Kenny and I were really good friends and have been since we were kids. We had so many wonderful memories, we shared a neighborhood, schools and even vacations. Brenda and I had wonderful memories growing up with Kenny and Melanie. You guys were wonderful friends to my mom and dad. Kenny and I would talk on the phone from time to time and really kept in touch through Facebook. We laughed a lot, we talked a lot about the mountains and nature, things he always loved. I guess I am still processing that he really is gone.
May God wrap his arms around you and give you peace and comfort through this truly sad time. I know Kenny loved all of you so much and you can carry that close in your hearts. I truly am sorry.
    Dana Dillon

  11. I grew up a couple streets over on Putnam and a year behind Kenny in school. Even though I haven’t seen him since high school, the thing that I will always remember about him is the fact that EVERYTIME I’d see him, he always had a smile on his face. I’m sorry to hear of his passing. I’m sure he is smiling down on all of you.

  12. I will always remember Ken as being such a sweet person with a great sense of humor. It was nice to receive his friend request on Facebook and reconnect with him. I’m so shocked and saddened by his passing. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. You’re all in my thoughts and prayers.

  13. Ken, Shelia, and Melanie, I am so sorry. I am shocked beyond measure. I lost touch with Kenny over the years, but the memories we shared continued to live on. Ken introduced me, through his love of music, to artists who shaped the soundtrack of my life, a gift and love I am sure, he gave many. A talented musician, a kind and generous soul, with an exceptional sense of humor. There are things I repeat almost every day, funny sayings or things he said, that became a part of who I am. I’m left to smile and laugh… not always remembering where they came from. This too, was a great gift, sent from heaven, to touch the souls of many. We are only a measure of the ones we’ve touched or changed for the good. I can say with certainty, that this, Kenny achieved, as I feel it now, again, in my heart. I am sure he is playing his music now, and the notes and melodies will continue to ring once they are played, if we listen. My prayer is for God’s Grace to shine upon you and carry you through this difficult time, and for love and fond remembrances to shine within your hearts.

  14. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen Ken. I last saw him at the Dream Theater concert in 2014. We were both there doing a meet and greet with one of our favorite bands. i had a feeling I would see him there but seeing him at the meet and greet was just a bonus. We were able to catch up a little bit. Ken and I were in 2 bands together and were even roommates for a time. Ken was even one of my groomsman at my wedding. I really enjoyed the time I spent with Ken. His sense of humor and infectious laugh were the best. Ken didn’t just love Progressive Metal I know he loved Jesus. I’m gonna miss you Brother you were one of a kind for sure, I’ll see you again someday in a better place.
    Jamie Poulos

  15. I just can’t explain how sad I am to hear of Kenny’s passing. We were in the Weir High band together, my deepest sympathy goes out to all his family and friends.

  16. Kenny had the sweetest smile and was always so friendly! I have not seen him since high school, but always enjoyed the photos of the beautiful adventures that he would share on Facebook. I was very sad to hear of his loss and to be taken so young. May his beautiful spirit live on in the memories he shared with his loved ones. Sincerely, Heather Amos-Yeo

  17. I was shocked and saddened to hear this news today. Ken was a great camping and hiking body and talked me through some tough times a few years back. Too young..

  18. Ken was a kind and sweet friend. He always wore a big smile and I enjoyed talking music with him and looking at his beautiful photography. He loved the Colorado mountains and was especially talented at capturing their beauty. He used to come and see my band Rush Archives play and he was always encouraging and so friendly to all of us. He would often send me links to music that he had discovered and wanted to share. He was quite talented himself at drums and guitar but was very modest. He had an artist’s heart and a kind demeanor. I’m glad I got to know him. I’ll miss him.
