linda ogaz
Linda Ann (Rujak) Ogaz, 60, of Weirton, passed peacefully, after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Her family was at her side. A daughter of the late Joseph S. and Dolores Jean (Scassa) Rujak, Linda was born on October 14, 1958, in Weirton, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Christopher Duffy and her great niece Aubrey Tabor. Linda was a loving mother and grammy, her family was her passion and delight. She lived in Nashville, TN for over 25 years, where she raised her two boys and worked as a case manager for Pacific Life. After her mother passed away in 2015, she moved back to Weirton to assist in caring for her father, who passed away on January 30th 2019. She also enjoyed living closer to her sons who reside in Morgantown, WV. Linda enjoyed watching her sons play football and rugby, listening to country music, attending Mountaineer football games, the theatre in Pittsburgh, and soaking up the sun, at any beach. She had a strong faith, and a positive attitude as she battled against cancer. When she learned that her cancer had returned, she chose to live a joyful life, and count each day that she was able to spend with her family as a blessing. Her life was a living example of her favorite bible verse, Proverbs 31:25 She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Linda will be remembered with love by her two sons, Jordan (Jessica) Ogaz and Jason Ogaz; her two grandsons, Jameson and Jeremiah Ogaz; her two step children, Margie and Faustino Ogaz; her four sisters, Lisa Carissimi (Joe), Leslie Golubosky (Lewis), Lori Criner (George Patrick), Leah Bohrer (Brian); her brother, Steven Rujak (Keitha); nieces and nephews, Brandon and Dayna Carissimi, Stephanie (Jason) Zimmer, Paul T. (Paige) Duffy, III, Matthew Duffy, Allison (Clay) Tabor, Ashley (Justin) Henry, Shawn Patrick Criner, Madison and Derek Bohrer, and Ethan and Hailey Rujak; and her great nieces and nephews, Preston, Natalie, and Eli Tabor, Paul IV and Pate Duffy, and Raelynn Henry. Linda will be remembered and celebrated on Tuesday from 4- 8 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Wednesday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I am so sorry to hear this. Hope you are dancing across the universe in your sparkly high heeled shoes, my friend.

  2. Very sad day. Linda was an incredible person both personally and professionally. I knew her the entire time she worked at Pac Life and we shared many of life’s victories and challenges over the years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her children and grandchildren. Remember the best times as those are the memories that keep her alive in your hearts. Linda, I hope to see you again one day. May God Bless you and keep you.

  3. To Linda’s family: I may not be able to visit you at the funeral home tomorrow due to previous commitment. I will be thinking of you and praying for you and for her soul. She was a dear friend and will be missed.

  4. I’m Linda’s aunt Patsy. She was very special to me as she made me an aunt for the first time. The world was a better place with her in it. I remember her birth so well and how happy I was she was a girl. For a time, my world was centered around her. She was my hero. All those years ago,I never dreamed I would attend her funeral. I will love and miss her always

  5. Linda was very much part of the Ormes family in Tennessee, remember going to the lake with her on Anderson Rd many times. Our deepest heartfelt condolences to her family. We loved her and she will be missed by all of us.

  6. I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Linda and would like to share our condolences and express sorrow for her loss. We did not meet her family and knew her professionally. She was such a blessing and encouragement to us. For years we enjoyed working with her and she was a true professional. In short we all loved her very much. With deepest sympathy, Scott A. Winslow and Family

  7. Linda was a treasure to work with. She knew how to connect with people, build relationships, and form meaningful bonds. She cared about you and in-turn it made you care about her. She will be greatly missed. Trevor Coe

  8. My condolences to the family. Linda was an amazing woman. I admired her dedication to continue to work while moving to take care of her dad. She was the best case designer I’ve worked with in my 29 year career. So professional and genuinely nice, an unusual combination these days… truly irreplaceable.

  9. I knew Linda as a business friend. In addition to being good at what she did, she was always focused on doing her best for others. I will always remember her ready smile and easy laugh. Truly inspiring!

  10. I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I never met Linda, and only spoke to her a few times, but I know what an inspiration and role model she was to the Pacific Life family. Everyone that worked with her spoke so highly of her and admired her so much. Our office was very somber today as we received the news. Her battle was inspirational; what a fighter she was. I know she is in a better place now where there is no more pain or suffering. My thoughts and prayers to her family as they grieve her loss.

  11. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. When someone we love dies, it’s natural to want to see that person again. God promises us that He will comfort us in our trials if we go to him in prayer. 2 Corinthians 1:3 calls him the God of all comfort. I’d like to share with y’all this link that shows 12 steps on coping with grief that is good for sharing. I have personally found this very comforting and I hope y’all do as well. https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&docid=102018086&srcid=share

  12. Such a special person in so many ways. Caring, loving, inspirational, funny, and talented. She was special and will always be in my thoughts. I am deeply saddened by her passing but comforted that her struggle is over and is now in the arms of our Lord. She often talked about her children and grandchildren who brought her so much joy . And since I knew Linda from work, let me also mention that she was the most talented and technically proficient rep I’ve EVER known. She taught me so much, for which I will always be grateful. Rest in peace Linda … Your friend, Gene

  13. Linda was my very first niece. I was so happy the day she was born. Her death was devastating. She fought so hard to live. She was beautiful, strong, kind, loving and just a wonderful person. I miss her very much
