lucille haber
Lucille Joann Haber, 87, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born December 13, 1924 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Vito and Conchetta Sciarrino. She was also preceded in death by her husband Stanley J. Habor, Sr., son Stanley Haber, Jr., daughter Marlene Haber, brothers Mike and Joe Sciarrino and sisters Mamie Mayerich and Sara Herndon. During World War II, Lucille worked as a tin flopper at Weirton Steel. After her marriage, she enjoyed being a loving wife, mother and homemaker. A very important part of her life was her membership with St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she attended Mass every Saturday evening. Lucille is survived by her daughter in law Pam Haber of Weirton, loving granddaughter Stacy Lynn Haber of Glendale, AZ and several loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Larry Dorsch will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, WV 26062.

Aunt Lucy was the one who helped keep those memories of the great family times we had when the sisters and brothers would get together.   8. As a child living in north Weirton I got to know Mrs. Mayerich and Mrs. Haber. They were always laughing. I enjoyed being around them. Marlene was a playmate as was Maryanne.
