Margaret L. Purdy

Margaret L. Purdy, 87, of Weirton, formerly of Euclid, Ohio, died Friday June 30, 2006 at the Weirton Geriatric Center.
Margaret was born on May 11, 1919, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Fred and Laura Webster Gutman. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Fred Gutman, Jr., and one great grandchild.
Margaret retired from Bailey Meter Company, where she worked as an assembler. She was a 45 year member of Saint Christine Parish in Cleveland, OH, Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, and the Irish American Club.
She is survived by her husband, Jack A. Purdy of Weirton, WV; four sons, Patrick E. and Geraldine Purdy of Cleveland, OH, Jay T. and Janey Purdy of Chargrin Falls, OH, James J. Purdy of Richmond, OH, and Joseph F. and Jeannie Purdy of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Andrea M. and Frank Vrtar of Weirton, WV; Eleven grandchildren; Five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Brickman & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, 21900 Euclid Avenue, Euclid, OH
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM Thursday at Saint Christine Roman Catholic Church, 840 East 222nd Street, Euclid, OH.
Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
