martha boustead
Martha Jean Boustead, a soft-spoken, generous, and one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the Valley Hospice Care Center North. She was 77. Born on December 17, 1943, in Steubenville, Ohio, Martha was the baby of four children born to Paul E. and Ann Vincent Tingler. She grew up in Weirton, WV, and graduated from Weir High School. In December of 1963, while roller skating in Hookstown, PA, she met Charles Boustead. They married on May 23, 1964. In their 46 years of marriage, they were blessed with two sons, a daughter, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Martha just adored her grandchildren. She loved volunteering her time to help others in need. One of her favorite projects was to fill shoeboxes up with toiletries and essentials that would be shipped to third-world countries to be opened on Christmas Day. She enjoyed listening to The Gaither’s southern gospel music, watching videos, word search puzzles, and making and sharing her famous mouth-watering peanut butter balls. Martha nourished her faith at the Weirton First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Boustead on December 8, 2010; her brother, Fred Tingler; her sister, Delores Guyer; and her grandson, Andrew Wagner. She will be remembered with love by her two sons, Kevin Scott (Karen) Boustead and Jeffrey Paul Boustead; her daughter, Amy Diane (Shawn) Wagner; her sister, Vernice Bain; her grandchildren, Jennifer Marie and James Boustead, Sarah Ann and Charlie Wagner; and her four great-grandchildren, Dominic, Evan, Zachary, and Jayden Boustead Visitation will be Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday Pastors Brian Richardson and Larry Barkley will preside.
