Mary B. Kostka, 88, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born January 15, 1917 in Weirton, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie Bajek Wojdyla. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband Anthony S. Kostka, brother John Wojdyla and sisters Anna Hawrot and Stella Paisley. After 20 years of service, Mary retired from Weirton Steel where she worked as a clerk in the insurance department. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Rosary Society, PNA Lodge 3001, AARP and was a past member of St. Cecelia Choir of Sacred Heart of Mary. Mary’s survivors include her son Marion P. Kostka and his wife Penny of Morgantown, WV; daughters Cynthia Revay and her husband Joseph and Antoinette “Toni” Traeger and her husband Richard both of Weirton; sisters Frances Zagula and Catherine Zaleski both of Weirton; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Friday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Weirton.
