Mildred Mae Ross, 96, of Weirton died Friday October 21, 2011, at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH. Born March 7, 1915 in Steubenville, OH she was a daughter of the late Harry and Rose Monigold Spurrier. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Ross, sister, Anne Lanaghan, and a granddaughter, Amy Ross. A, homemaker, Mildred was a member of the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, BPOE 1801 and a former volunteer at the Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville. She is survived by her four sons, John William (Janet) Ross, Dennis Lee (Lena) Ross, Harry Herbert (Mary Jo) Ross all of Weirton and Edward Austin (Donna) Ross of Steubenville, OH; a nephew, Roger Lanaghan of Steubenville, OH, and a Niece, Sharon Lanaghan of NJ; 17 grandchildren 20 great grand children and 2great great grandchildren Visitation will be 7-9 PM Sunday and 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral 3219 Main Street. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville.
