Patricia A. Stevens, 74, of Alvy, WV, former resident of Weirton, WV, loving wife and mother was called home by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 07, 2008. She dedicated her life as a wife to Virgil for 60 years. She was a wonderful mother of 9 children, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 7 step great-grandchildren. Upon her passing, she was surrounded by her nine children who blessed her soul immensely. She was ready to meet her Dad and Mom. Her time was now complete. It was "A Job Well Done". Born August 13, 1933 in Alvy, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Harriett Waters Talkington LeMasters. Patricia was also preceded in death by her brothers Lewis and Ira Talkington, Jr. and sisters Garnett Bedway, Juanita Delaney and Irene Longstreth. She was a member of the Kings Creek Union Chapel and the Indian Creek Homemakers Association. Patricia is survived by her husband Virgil D. Stevens of Alvy; sons Zane of Weirton, Dallas (Carol) of New Cumberland, Steve and Rodney Weirton and Vernon of Alvy, WV; daughters Bonita Griffith (James) of Toronto, OH, Elizabeth "Libby" Stevens of Weirton, Monnetta Williams of Cartersville, GA and Renee Pennell (Adam) of New Martinsville, WV; a brother Robert Talkington of Moundsville, WV and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Saturday at the Furbee Funeral Home, 217 Main Street, Middlebourne, WV from 11AM - 2PM with funeral services immediately following at the Victory Church on Indian Creek Road.   8. Happy 75th Birthday Grandma! I love and miss you so much!! I know that you are in a better place and that you are not sick and in any pain. It was very hard to go back to the house and not seeing you in the kitchen waiting on someone or going into your room and you getting upset with us cause we was in there…cause that we your room. But, Aunt Bonnie did find some candy that you had hid and yes I did have to have it!!! Dawson wants me to tell you that he loves you and misses you very bad and that Grandma Georgia is your new friend now and is up in heaven talking about what a good boy he is.
