Perry Cassella

Perry Cassella, 93 of Weirton died Friday February 22, 2002 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born on January 1, 1909 in Sistersville, WV, the son of the late Pasquale and Catherine Adams Cassella. Perry was also preceded in death by his wife Mabel Almeda Hill Cassella on November 3rd 1975, his son Walter Pete Cassella on July 14 2001, his daughter Naomi Jean Kurucz, his twin brother Tony his brothers Charles Manuel Cassella, Ray Warne and Paul Cassella. Perry worked in Weirton Steel from 1924- 1969 where he retired as the foreman of the Galvanizing Department of the Sheet Mill. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, and a member & Past Master and Lodge Instructor of the New Cumberland Lodge No 22 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Mason, KCCH where he was the past master of 24th degree in 1965 and Inspector General of the 33rd Degree in 1973, life member of the Order of the Amaranth, Hancock Chapter No. 14 Royal Arch Masons. Surviving include his daughter Gloria Marie “Dolly” Lantz of Weirton, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and nine great – great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 1-3 & 7-9 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday. Rev. Kevin Dennis will preside. Interment will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Masonic services conducted by the New Cumberland Lodge No 22 AF & AM.
