  8. Mary Elizabeth, Paulee, and family I am deeply saddened by Peties passing. I am so sorry to hear that it was cancer related and hope that he didn’t suffer long with that disease. Our being childhood friends makes this loss so much greater. It is like family passing as our families were so close. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am suffering from an abscessed tooth and am not allowed in crowds until after Friday or I would be there. Please contact me as I would like to make a contribution in Petes name but cannot be there now. mary

  9. Dear Paul, Mary and Family, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Pete’s illness and passing. He was a GREAT guy, who I’ll always remember coming over to our house as children with your mother and little Dino. My sister, Peppi, could never pronounce his name correctly and would always call him Meter Pichael, instead of Peter Michael! I always knew he would be a successful entrepreneur…when all of us dressed like hippies in the old days, Pete would always have a suit and tie on, and drive a ‘caddy! He made it to the top now for sure…He’s in heaven with Dino and your mom and dad!!!

  10. Mary and family, I am so saddened for the loss of your brother and Uncle but am glad that you were able to be with him in his last days and that he did not have to suffer long. Each one of you is very special to me and if there is anything I can do at this time, please let me know. Always in my prayers, Tanya

  11. Dear Mary & Paul, I was very sorry to hear of Pete’s passing. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Times like this bring back many wonderful memories. I have a picture hanging on my office wall of your father with mine. The Belli name is well-known and well-respected in Weirton and Pete contributed to that. God Bless you and yours. Jennie Evans Meeker

  12. Hello, Belli family, I was a friend of Pete’s in the late 50’s and 60’s, primarily through the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of Weirton Heights. We were Scouts together in Troop 31, and I have incredibly fond memories of our exploits and misadventures. I am so sorry to hear of Pete’s passing. My most vivid memory of the Belli family is, of course, the accordion school, the Weirton Steel summer picnics, and all the remarkable ethnic richness that Weirton represented. Many years later, I came to understand what an amazing cultural gem Weirton in the ’60’s was. I have often told my family and friends about the accordion phenomenon, trying to explain why it was such a life-affirming example of the American melting pot, but somehow I never seem to do it justice. In any event, Pete will be greatly missed, and I hope you understand that he, and the rest of your family, were an important part of my very happy childhood. God bless you all. Paul Tucker
