Ralphilina Battista, 81, of Weirton, WV, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born July 1, 1930 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Teresa Compitella Battista. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Nick "Butch" and Michael Battista and sister Conchetta M. "Chippy" Battista. With 40 years of service, Ralphie retired from Weirton Steel where she worked in the Tin Mill. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Women's WSX 25 Year Club. She is survived by her son Michael Battista and his wife Diane of Weirton and grandchildren Nicklas and Michaela Battista. Friends will be received Saturday from 11:30am until the 1:30pm funeral services at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. The Reverend Father Larry Dorsch will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul School, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, WV 26062 or Madonna High School, 150 Michael Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.
