Randall Louis Tassey, 61, of Steubenville, OH, died Monday October 15, 2012, at the Trinity West in Steubenville. Born on January 16, 1951, in Steubenville, OH, Randy was the son of the late, Louis and Concetta "Connie" Forchione Tassey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Jane Solomon Tassey on March 30, 2010. Randy served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Weirton Steel in 2004. A true outdoorsman, He enjoyed fishing, Kayaking and mushroom picking. He also enjoyed traveling with his family. He is survived by his son, Jason Tassey of Atlanta, GA; and his three sisters, Diane Pastoric, Faith Shawver and Veronica (Ronnie) Wilson and her husband Dan all of Weirton, WV. Visitation will be Monday from 3-6 PM. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 5:30 PM Fr. Larry Dorsch will preside. Memorial contributions in Randy's memory may be made to the Weirton United Way, Inc. 3205B Pennsylvania Avenue Weirton, WV 26062.

Your father and I started school together in first grade, and it was from another classmate that I had heard of his death. Before I knew it more than 8 other classmates had responded to fb with memory comments. You’re dad and brother will be missed, he was a special man.

All the memories I had with him and Ralphie…the trouble we got into (Randy sure was ornery as a young boy!!!) and all the wonderful times we had as a family during the holidays, weddings, birthdays etc. and family visits for dinner.
