Richard Edward Baranowski, 56, of Granger Indiana formerly of Weirton, WV died suddenly Friday October 29, 2004, at his residence. He was born to Edward Baranowski of Weirton, WV and the late Regina Pulawski Baranowski, on April 7, 1948 in Steubenville, OH. His mother preceded him in death on March 15, 1999. Richard retired from National Steel Corporation, where he worked as the Director of Information Technology. He served his country at the Pentagon in Washington DC, in the US Army. He was a member of the American Association of Manufacturing, and the American association of Business Management. He attended Jefferson Technical College, Strayer College in Washington, DC. Richard was currently attending Bethel College in South Bend IN. Richard is survived by his wife, Kathleen “Kitty” Koper Baranowski, whom he married on August 16, 1968; his son, Jeffrey Paul Baranowski, and his wife Bonnie, of Jackson, MI; his father and step mother, Edward and Alberta Baranowski of Weirton, WV; his three brothers in law; Oren Little of Follansbee, WV, Lawrence Kelly of Weirton, WV, and Thomas Koper and his wife Judy of Weirton, WV; six nephews;one niece; four great nephews, and two great nieces. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Weirton Entombment will follow, at the Saint Paul Cemetery, with military services conducted by the VFW Firing Squad and the American Legion Evert Maki Post 10 Honor Guard.
