S. Daniel Baltich, 80, of Weirton, passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at D & D Quality Care. Born September 3, 1927 in Weirton, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna Rocksandich Baltich. Daniel was preceded in death by his brothers, Peter and George. Daniel retired from Weirton Steel where he worked in the Quality Control Department of the B.O.P. He was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, VFW 2716, American Legion Post 10 and the WSX 25-Year Club. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Daniel is survived by his wife Elnora Louise (Mellott) Baltich of Weirton; son Mark Baltich of Weirton; daughters Kimberly Moore of Birmingham, AL and Lori Baltich of Weirton; brothers Mitch and John Baltich of Weirton, Charles Baltich of San Bernardino, CA and Bronko Baltich of Lakeland, FL; sisters Nancy Baltich of Weirton and JoAnn Thompson of Florida.
