Shirley “Diane” Hebb, (formerly Diane Clayton), the most generous, loving, & selfless mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021. On September 26, 1946 Diane was born in Grafton, WV; the youngest of two children born to Arther Paul and Lottie Breedlove Hebb, Sr. Diane was a proud member of the Weir High Class of 1964. Diane’s career focused in accounting. She worked for Thomas Koumaros, CPA in Weirton until 1998 at which time she joined Kossman Development, a commercial Real Estate firm in the Pittsburgh Area. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering her time at the theatres in the Cultural District located in downtown Pittsburgh. She truly enjoyed laughing & playing cards with her beloved, long-time friends in card club. She also made lasting friendships during her time at Kossman Development & shared many wonderful experiences traveling with “The Girls”. Friends and family were what mattered most to Diane. She stayed in close contact with family & many dear childhood friends both near and far, keeping everyone in the loop and connected. A take-charge person, she was a natural at helping out with many class reunions. She was looking forward to joining her classmates at the last reunion this past month before she became ill. Always helping others, Diane happily volunteered for Meals on Wheels, where she made even more friends. She was loved dearly by everyone who knew her. Diane enjoyed watching sports and was the West Virginia Mountaineers #1 fan! She loved to (loudly) cheer them on and call plays as they happened. She was also passionate about the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins & attended many West A and Vipers inline hockey games, where 2 of her 3 grandsons play. Diane, also known as Turkey or Grammy, loved spending time with all of her grandsons. The boys were the apple of her eye and she was their “Bestest Buddy”. Her children, Jennifer and Michael were equally her world. Diane was a devout Christian and member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, VFW Ladies Auxilliary, and the Weir High Class of 1964 Reunion Committee. In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Arther Hebb, Jr. She will be remembered with everlasting love by her son, Michael Clayton, Jr. (Brooke); and her daughter, Jennifer Strope; her beloved grandsons, Joshua and Joey Strope; and Ellis Clayton; her sister in law, Becky Hebb, her nephews, Eric Hebb and Todd Hebb (Lind-Z); and her great-nieces and nephew, Tayler, Levi and Dustin. The world should know there are superheroes out there. “Diane”, “Mom”, “Turkey”, “Grammy Diane”, “Aunt Diane”, “Sister”, “friend”…no matter what you called her, you knew her superpower was LOVING. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, where funeral services will be at 11 AM on Saturday. Share tributes at www.grecohertnick.com

  8. Something tells me I have to share this, someone might needs it! Every human being is a product of his/her mental image, and every human’s life goes in the direction of their predominant thought. If you fail to plan, it means you planned to fail. I was pondering on how to extend the dots by opening new doors for our financial living. I really had to do that real quick but didn’t know how… Seeing couple posts about the crypto market but it all sounded like tales to my ears. I had lived with the premonition that the stock and crpyto market are filled up with bunch of liars but not until I met Steven…..You can reach out to him and see how this works, he will guide you on how to buy more crypto and stocks and teach you how to trade by yourself, so you could earn some extra cash, reach out to him through the name below 👉👉 Steven Anthony

  9. So many memories…pretty much grew up around this amazing lady. Her and I teased because im an AL fan and she was full on WV.. I appreciated her fantastic friendship/sister with my Mom. The Gal Pals lost an over the top best friend. Oh…can’t forget the never ending M&Ms.. My daughter ran past my Moms office to go to hers because she always had treats. Great, amazing person that will be missed greatly by many.

  10. Fond memories root the lives that Aunt Diane touched over the years. We hold a special place for her in all of our hearts. She will be dearly missed.

  11. Diane you were part of my work family and I will never ever forget the fun times we had. Thank you for the memories. You are now an angel in heaven just as you were on earth. You will always be my hero. Prayers to your family for strength to get through this difficult time.

  12. Michael, Jennifer & family, I was so sincerely sorry to hear of the passing of your beautiful mom & grandmother. She was a dear childhood friend of mine. Although we attended different schools we grew up together on Kathleen Way. There were few days we weren’t together. Your grandmother Lottie made me my first peanut butter & banana sandwich. I loved going to their house the whole family was so close & loving. Your dear mom even introduced me to my husband, Gary. They graduated together from Weir High, me from Madonna, and at a dance she introduced us. I’ll always thank her for being such a good friend, she was always there for me when I needed a friend the most. We lost touch after I married & moved away when my husband was in the Air Force, but she left an imprint in my heart. I can only imagine what a wonderful mother & grandmother she was. Sincerely, Charlotte Jonczak Helba
