Theresa J. Veltri, 90, of Weirton, died Wednesday, November 03, 2004 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born August 14, 1914 in Weirton, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Mary Frankina Gazia. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Veltri in 1951 and brother Anthony “Tony” Gazia who died in World War II. From 1962 – 1979, Theresa worked in the Service and Maintenance Department for Weirton Steel and was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. Theresa’s survivors include her son Marco Veltri of Daytona, FL and Joseph Veltri and his wife Frances of Weirton; daughters Angela Moldas and Lillian Beagle and her husband Ray all of Weirton; her brother Joseph Gazia of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Connie Ceraolo of Canton, OH, JoAnn Mikita of Steubenville, Frances Klaric, Yolanda Kraft, Mariam Salerno and Lena McFadden all of Weirton; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10:00AM Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Weirton.
