Truman Abraham "Bud" Speece, Jr.

Truman Abraham “Bud” Speece, Jr. died Sunday, December 13, 2020, from complications of Covid 19. He was 78 years old. He was born in Wheeling, WV, on March 10, 1942, one of seven children born to Truman Abraham and Goldie A. Hisom Speece, Sr. Bud, as he was known to his family and friends, served his country in the United States Army from October 21, 1960, until October 20, 1966. Bud worked many jobs throughout his career, most notably were the jobs at Brooke/Crescent Glass Company, where he met his wife, Mary, and Follansbee Sheet Metal. Bud was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge. Bud loved the outdoors and took advantage of our area’s natural resources for hunting, fishing, and camping. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his brothers, Emmett and Thurman “Red” Speece; and his sisters, Hilda Christopher, Carmen Mozena, and Brenda “Joy” Black. Bud will be remembered with love by his wife, of forty-five years, Mary Gray Speece, his son, Truman C. “Kit” Speece (Cindy); his step-son, Calvin Eaton, his daughter, Dee Dee Mae Morris (John), and his sister, Glenda Gregg (Dennis).
