May I share a few of my fondest memories of time spent with Victor? He always had time to share — a life well lived! Victor Ray, Jimmy, Cindy, and Susie; our thoughts, prayers, and our deepest sympathies to you and your families.

  9. Very sorry to hear of Victor’s passing. My deepest sympathy. I met him many years ago thru Howard Lammers when I worked at Weirton Steel. He needed trees that had been cut down removed from his yard, I spent almost a summer doing that. He was fun to talk and laugh with. Both my children also go to meet him. A very nice man. I still have an empty bottle of Castel De’ Greco. Bless him.

  12. To the Greco clan, I so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was a special man who had such love for life and for his community and his passions including Rotary. He was the one who brought me into Rotary and continued to make me feel so welcome in the business community when I first became a business owner. I will always be thankful for Victor. He and Marjorie were such awesome people and he was so lost without his soulmate. I am happy they are together forever now in God’s home. Praying and keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. God bless.

  13. To the family of Victor! It is with great sadness to hear of his passing. From one ambassador of Weirton to another (he more so than me) Victor will be missed by the Weirton community. His obituary does not completely tell all of his many attributes – kindness, caring, giving and the love he had for Weirton – he will be missed by many!

  14. To the entire Greco family, my deepest sympathy and condolences. Victor was as unique a man I’ve ever known. His compassion, passion, concern for others and love of life were exemplified in all he did every day. The community has lost a legend. They just don’t make them like Victor anymore. I count myself blessed to have known him as my friend and fellow Rotarian. He was the walking example of the “four way test.” Rest In Peace Victor.

  15. I first met Victor and Marge in the play “IPaul”. They both touched my life so much. They both gave me a cross and two fifty cent pieces that I will always have. Now they are our guardian angels and together at last with Jesus. I was happy to know them both. Great people I will always remember.

  16. Suzie and family, sharing in the sadness of the loss of your father. Memories abound of how your father and mother truly had an “open door policy” for all at any time. I remember sharing dinner at your table and “pass the potatoe” really meant pass the potatoe. The introduction of “scattone” and the gentle tap of your dads thumb on your cheek in greeting and saying good bye. wonderful memories, wonderful people. Thank you! God Bless you all and may the Union of your parents in heaven bring you some peace and comfort.

  17. Victor Ray, Jimmy, Cindy and Susie, How can I put into words what both your dad and mom meant to me. so many good times. Your dad’s “pride and joy”. He always said to Sal ” me and you and you and me” Couldn’t have chosen better Godparents for Maria. He would stop by the house on his way home from work and nibble on the kids leftovers and then go home to have dinner. The wonderful creative parties. So many terrific memories. As you have lost a parent, I lost a good friend. Rest in peace Victor and my prayers go out to your entire family in which he was so proud of

  18. To Victor’s family Truly he lived an example of friend, good neighbor, civic minded, faithful to God and his church all for which he will not be forgotten. He is at peace now with his beloved Marge and his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. May his family feel the presence of our Lord during this difficult time of grieving.

  20. Victor was like a second father to me. During my Madonna years, I spent more time at the Marland Heights house than I did in Burgettstown. Tonight my family will make scottone and share memories of Victor. Diana and my two sons Dylan and Dominic send our love and condolences to my second family.

  21. Victor Ray, Jimmy: cannot tell you how sorry I am to learn of this. Growing up around you two, your dad was always just a contemporary of Marvin’s. From working jobs part time at the shop, to trimming the Autumn Olives in the yard and spending quality family time at the Marland Heights estate are overwhelming. We’ll miss Victor very much, but find comfort in knowing that is reunited with Marge, Howard, and all the others in heaven. What a party that must be! RIP Victor.

  30. To Cindy, Victor Ray, Jimmy, Susie and families, So sad to hear the news of Victor’s passing. He was a wonderful man. I arrived in Weirton as a 17-year-old away from my family and country and Victor was a great friend and mentor. I remember the first time I met him. It was mid January, piles of snow and Victor arrived in what looked like a big fur coat and big fur hat. He gave me a big welcome hug. He and Marge were wonderful diplomats for the US and I had the privilege to live with them for six months. I miss them but will never forget Victor, Marge, you and your extended families. My deepest sympathy. Penny Stafford and family – Rotary Exchange student from Australia 1981

  31. To the Family: So sorry to hear of Mr. Greco’s passing. He always made me feel so special as well as your Mom did. God Bless them both and may they Rest In Peace together. Prayers and sympathy to all of the family.

  32. Victor and I served as Governors in 1996-7. I met him at the different Governor training meetings and Zone and International Conventions. You could not meet him and not remember him. PDG Pat & Ann Growney District 7510 (NJ) Now in Lake Worth Florida

  33. Oh my word. I just found out that this precious man went to be with Our Lord. With tears rolling down my cheeks I say to you even though I have not seen Mr. Greco in years I absolutely love him. What a wonderful man. What a wonderful family. Oh if walls could talk. LOL. His house would have a lot to say. My memories are endless. I believe that every person who has step foot in his house experienced true love and respect. He always had a word of wisdom, a smile, a good joke, some good food and endless love to all who entered. He will be missed. However, his love will live on in his children. Everyone of them have their fathers character. Mr. Greco until we meet again, I LOVE YOU. Give your wife a big hug and kiss from me. God bless you Victor and Isha. I truly miss you.

  34. When my late husband, David Weir, decided to go back and reconnect with Weirton, his childhood home, it was (of course) Victor who took him in, told him the Weirton stories, introduced him to people, and made it all fun. Over the years after that, whenever David and I and our two children, Maisie and Gregory, visited Weirton, our first stop would be to see Victor and Marge. We remember Victor so fondly! He was our introduction to the wonderful community of Weirton and was certainly its biggest booster. We send our deepest condolences and our love to his family and all of his many friends.
