Albert J. Kolman, 69 of Weirton died, May 25, 2003 at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born on September 22, 1933 in Loyalhanna, PA, the son of the late John and Mary (Mehalichko) Kolman. Albert was preceded in death by a brother Steve and a sister Ann Mercinko. Albert retired from Weirton Steel Co. with 30 years of services as a foreman where he worked as a Bundler in the tin mill department. He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy, where he was a member of V.U.M.S.(Veterans of Underage Military Service). He was a member of the WSX 25 year club,Past Commander the American Legion Post 10 ,Past Commander, 40|8 Hancock County Voiture 1459, Past President of Tri State 40-8 Club, the VFW #2716. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Ambrose) Kolman, whom he married on August 20, 1955; his four sons Kenneth and his wife Susan Kolman of Cayse, SC, Richard of Weirton, Kevin and his wife Janice Kolman of Hong Kong and Robert and his wife Dina Kolman of Weirton; four brothers Paul and his wife Lillian Kolman of Dairy, PA, Bob Kolman of Latrobe, PA, Tom Kolman of Romulus Michigan and John and his wife Charlotte Kolman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three sisters Helen Britt and Mary Kolman of Whitney, PA and his twin sister Irene Mascaro of Cleveland OH ; 3 grandchildren David, Alyxxa, Ian. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton. Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 AM, in the funeral home with funeral services at 10:30 AM on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Military Services.   1. I have many wonderful memories of my Uncle Albert. I will truly miss him. He was a great Uncle and Godfather. I know I will think of him often.

  2. I really didnt know Albert but i knew his son Bob almost all of my life!! From what i’ve heard he was a great guy and he must have been a wonderful because he raised a great son!! May you rest in Peace!! Albert an his family are in my Prayers!!
