Amelia Lucille “Amy” Corso, 69, of Weirton, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 in Steubenville, OH at the home of her daughter, Annette Ohalek. She was born on December 17, 1935 in Steubenville, a daughter of the late Demetro and Angelina (DiBartolomeo) Pelliccione. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Pelliccione. Amy graduated from the Catholic Central Class of 1953 as well as the Nursing Program from Wheeling Hospital. She retired from St. John’s Hospital where she worked as a registered nurse in the maternity ward. Amy was a member of Mercy Baptist Church in Weirton. Amy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Joe V. Corso, whom she married January 1970; two sons, Scotty M. Corso of Huntington, WV, and Jim (Johna) Saltsman of Steubenville; three daughters, Debra (George) Potkrajac of Toronto, OH, Annette (John) Ohalek of Steubenville, and Michela Woofter of Steubenville; one brother, Larry Pelliccione of Ft. Myers, FL; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and special friends, Bill and Sue Beatty. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful people at Valley Hospice: Rhonda, Susie, Lisa, and Renee. Visitation for Amy will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of funeral services at 1 PM at Mercy Baptist Church, Weirton. Pastor James Rhodes will preside. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
