Ann Gevenosky, 82, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH. Ann was born on December 3, 1925 in Richland, WV, a daughter of the late John and Mary Figal Moskal. She was also preceded in death by her brother Nick Moskal and sister Mary Ann Schultz. Ann was a homemaker, a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and the Ladies Altar Society. She is survived by her husband Roman Gevenosky; son Michael Gevenosky both of Weirton; granddaughter Jessica Gevenosky of Newport News, VA and Jason Gevenosky and his wife Holly of Shady Spring, WV. Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where a Parastas Service will be conducted at 7:30PM. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11AM Monday at the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. The Very Reverend Father Theodore Shomsky will preside. Interment will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 604 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062. I enjoyed talking to her on the phone at Feroleto and I loved when she sent me in those “special cabage rolls” I know this must be hard, but keep all of your memories close…I know how much she adored Jason and Jessica, and she was so proud of you both.   3. Chocha was almost like a Grandmother to us, since Sami and Alex never met theirs’ and Tasha doesn’t remember them. She will always be remembered, and will be dearly missed. We will miss visiting her when we come to Weirton and will always love her.
