Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. A gang of us kids all lived in Woodlawn Estates, and carpooled with a handful of parents to St. Joe’s & Madonna. All the parents treated us like we were their own. Between school, sports & various other activities, we had lots of parents to help us along the way. Mrs. McNeil was no exception. May she rest in peace.

  2. To the McNeil Family; Our sympathy and love to all upon the passing of your mom. I recall with joy memories of the group of ladies, including my mom, who did so many things together and were always fun to be around. May she rest in peace with Mr. McNeil and may God comfort you all. Jim “Rollo” and Anne Paul

  3. Tommy and Family – my sincere condolences to you and your family. Much like your father was, Mrs. McNeil was a wonderful person. Loads of great memories hanging out with Tommy at their house. Tom, please give Johnny and Jimmy a hug from me. Great parents, great kiddos! Skins Orecchio

  4. To the family of Anna McNeil… Or as she was always known to me as Mrs. Neil. All the years I have known her and the whole family will be memories etched into my heart. Your family was like family to my family. A family I have known since I was a child. To the Irish and all the Notre Dame games our parents watched and attended!! God Bless… Joanne Winkler and Cathie Hock (The daughters of Joe and Helen Zdybicki – friends for ever!!)

  5. Ken and family: On behalf of NAPS, MAAC, and FocusOne, our sincere condolences to you and your family. We are thinking of you during this difficult time.

  6. Where do I start? The McNeil Family is permanently woven into my fabric, my being and formative years of this journey we call life. We were aware of Mrs McNeil becoming gravely ill and was hoping she would hold on until the early, early spring as we spend our winters in the south. I am so heartbroken over the fact that I will be unable to see my best friends from childhood . Mrs. McNeils three youngest children made me the athlete that I am today . Our rather large yards were back to back. We saw each other daily, rain or shine. McNeils yard was football ; Kittle’s yard baseball. Mrs McNeil also allowed the entire neighborhood to play basketball in the driveway behind the house. Johnny always got the hose out and froze the driveway for those blue sleds during winter. Jimmy & Tommy throwing Croquet mallets across the yards, fighting of course. Tommy with his left handed skills always breaking windows in our back yard. Card games in the basements during rainy days. AND WHEN MRS MCNEIL HAD ENOUGH..she would stand on the back porch and scream to the top of her lungs ( Jimmy; Johnny; Tommy ) get in the house . I can see and hear her like it was yesterday, embedded in my memory. What a fantastic childhood I was blessed with. I can only thank this beautiful family with Mrs. McNeil keeping us all in line. She is now with God and Mr. McNeil (Fuzzy) by her side, surrounded by their eternal love . I’m so very sorry I missed you all. Hopefully, hopefully, I will cross your path at home Tommy when I return. Love and Prayers Margaret Ann Kittle Thelma Kittle Charles Kittle

  13. MaryAnn, Kenny, John, Jimmy and Tom Wow, what can I say, I just heard about your mom. Let me say that growing up your mom let me be a part of your family. She opened up your home to me as it was mine. I remember her and your dad watching us play basketball from the window and smiling from ear to ear, and not getting mad at us when we would retrieve our baseball out of Mr. Scott’s yard. Your mom truly loved each of you very much. Please hold on to all those memories of your childhood. I hope all of you get to read this because this is how your mom will be remembered. You all are in my prayers………Randy Gasaway
