Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Mom (Toni), Aunt Reg, Aunt Tommi, and Aunt Berni: How appropriate for our family’s Patriot to have passed on Memorial Day?! Certainly a stylish exit that none will forget. And I’m sure your getting together to celebrate his life will also be quite unforgettable. Although the miles between us are many, we will hold each of you in our thoughts and prayers. Spoghem, (sp?) Love, Lisa (Ray, Ray Jr., Cressis and Vade)

  2. Dearest Bosom Buddy, ONLY Tony Dworzecki would have enough patrotism in his heart and soul to leave and visit the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy on a day he respected more than anyone I ever knew. My thoughts are with you, your sisters, kids and grandkids. May he always walk in sunshine… Love, Mary Ellen and LeLion

  3. Tommi, I am so sorry your Father has passed, so fitting for him to go on Memorial Day! I always thought so much of him as we were growing up back in our old neighborhood. If you recall, I told you how much I admired him and loved his beautiful posture… and he was part of the 21-gun salute at my Dad’s burial service. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please email me when you get back home and things settle down. HUGS, Teddi

  4. To Sunny and Marichelle and Christian, Alyssa, and Gabrielle, our heartfelt sympathies in the loss of your grandfather and great-grandfather. We share in the loss of a patriot and veteran. May God grant peace and solace to you all by the grace of God and through His Spirit of Comfort.

  5. I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy and prayerful support as you mourn the loss of your father. He was a wonderful man to know.

  6. LEST WE FORGET These were words spoken at the Memorial Day Ceremonies in Weirton. While I was attending the ceremony, I was thinking about Tony. But now I know he was truly there. The air was very quiet when Taps was played, you could only hear the flags whipping in the wind. The City of Weirton, it seemed, stood silently for this tribute. A tribute so fitting for our beloved Tony! These past few years, I have come to know Tony at Serra Manor. He and his fellow servicemembers loved going on a day trip to Pittsburgh on the Majestic Boat cruise honororing veterans almost every year. Though other residents used walkers and wheelchairs to go, Tony dressed in his uniform, would proudly walk onto the bus and aboard the boat. I also would visit with Tony, sometimes talking both in Polish and English. He loved when I can in authentic Polish costume. No matter what kind of day he was having, as I left he would say Dziekuja. So, now I will say, Dziekuja, Pan Tony.

  7. Toni Popp and all the Dworzecki family, Heartfelt sympathy to the Dworzecki family. We are not surprised that your father’s passing was on Memorial Day. Father Gods timing is always so perfect! Blessings to you, and yours. Francis, and Patty Freeland

  8. Dearest Dworzecki family: As a classmate of Tommi I recall coming to your mom and dads home so many years ago. They were happy times being a guest in their home. Yesterday, a day of remembrance, a day of reflection, a day to honor those women and men that came before us, those currently serving, that gave their all for our freedoms. Memorial Day, starts with family tradition in honor of our countrys heroes. Your father, uncle, cousin, grandfather is a hero and the memories of him is honored. He is a soldier that kept our freedoms. There simply arent words at this time to comfort you, but our appreciation for those who have made incredible sacrifices for our country as he made.

  9. Tommi, You have my deepest sympathy on the passing of your father. My prayers are with you and your family at this time. Cathie

  10. Reggie, Toni, and the entire family : You certainly have alot to be proud of for having the father that you did. I can rmember all the functions involving Terri’s children at Holy Family and your mother and father were always there as I am sure they were there for all their grandchildren. He lived a long and blessed life with his family and now he rests. God bless Tony. Sorry I couldn’t be there for you. Tom Feeney

  11. Dear Mom, Aunt Bernie, Aunt Toni, and Aunt Tommi, My heart grieves with yours in the loss of your precious Dad, my beloved Grandfather. May God’s comfort and His promised Hope be of great encouragement to your hearts. Grandpap was delightful when Mom and I visited him at Christmas. He sang in polish much of the time, between our brief conversations, and reminisced about his proud service to our great country during and after World War II. He tried to teach me some polish (that was tough!) and expressed how easy it was for him to learn because “..both of my parents were Polish..” What an honor to just sit with Grandpap and listen, a true Patriot. I’m so sorry I can’t be there to celebrate his exemplary life and memory with you and our family. He certainly deserves the best tribute. He must be enjoying a great reunion with his buddies! “..I had a lot of friends, honey, in school, at home, and especially in the army..” You all are in my deepest thoughts and prayers. Love, Danielle

  12. Dearest Mom, Aunt Bernie, Aunt Toni and Aunt Tomi, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you all on the loss of a wonderful man….he was such a spit-fire and full of life! He touched many lives in a special way, including mine. How funny….I think this was his best salute!! I am proud to be his granddaughter and know how much he loved his country….My prayers and thoughts are with you and your familes…..I love you all very much……

  13. I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Tony’s entire family. I met Tony about 11 years ago. I’m a West Virginia Trooper and Tony and I met on a Sunday afternoon while he was out driving his beautiful old car. Tony and I became friends and would meet once every other month and have lunch at Eat N Park. I loved Tony telling me stories of the war and of his service to our Country. He would often tell stories of his family, his wife and all his children and grandchildren. It’s been several years since I’ve seen Tony, he was a TRUE American hero and It was only fitting he passed on the day we honor our fallen soldiers. I will miss him very much.

  14. Antoinette & Family: My deepest condolences to you. Your father was a great guy; I worked with him in the mill. I was fortunate to get reacquainted with Tony during the monthly meetings of the Salvation Army Community Care Ministries at Serra Manor. My best to you. Joe Powell
