Anthony J. “Tony” Angelo, 79, of Weirton went to Heaven on Friday August 24, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. Dad gave his ALL, and we will forever be grateful to have had him in our lives. Tony was born on January 17, 1928 in Weirton, WV, the son of the late Carmine Angelo and Antoinette (Gallupoli) Garrett. He was was also preceded in death by his brother Steve Angelo. Tony was a dedicated, loving, and generous man, whose family always came first. He lived his life for them. He will always be remembered for his funny stories and comical antics. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, golf and dancing. He retired after 43 years from the Weirton Steel Tin Mill, where he worked as a solution helper. He served his country in the US Army. He was a member of the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Holy Name, and the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. Tony is survived by his wife Lydia (Riggi) Angelo; his son, Carmen “Nooch” Angelo and his wife Kimberly; daughter, Toni Permar and her husband Bob all of Weirton; sisters, Henrietta “Keta” Brancazio of Weirton, WV and Nancy Anthony and her husband Stanley of Paris, PA; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Ashleigh, Ryan, Rob, and Chelsey; two great granddaughters, Mea Julianna and Camryn Nicole. Visitation will be 1-5 PM Sunday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be 10 AM Monday at the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton Rev Fr. Tony Thurston will preside. Entombment will be in Saint Paul Cemetery Mausoleum Military service will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard.
