Antoinette "Zizi" Petricca , 72, of Weirton, WV passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016, in Valley Hospice Care Center North, In Steubenville, OH. Born August 26, 1943, in Steubenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Anita (Gabriele) Petricca. Antoinette retired from Weirton Steel Corporation as a Supervisor of the Craft and Apprentice Training Department after 38 years of service. Following retirement from Weirton Steel, she worked for 10 years at the Weirton campus of West Virginia Northern Community College as coordinator of the tutoring center, finally fully retiring at the age of 68. Antoinette was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Church. She was a lifetime member (fifty plus years) in Sigma Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, a former member of Weirton Junior Women's Club and past president of Weirton Steel's Ladies Twenty-Five Year Club . In her spare time, Antoinette enjoyed reading, traveling and took great pride in working in her yard. She is survived by her sister Maria "Mary" Stella Longhi of Weirton; brother Anthony (Carolyn) Petricca of Rocky River, OH; nephews Patsy V. Longhi of Weirton, James (Susanna) Longhi of Greensburg, PA; nieces Suzanne (Anthony) Antinone of Weirton, Kristin (Brian) Hewko of Bay Village, OH and Ann Marie Petricca of Rocky River; great nieces and nephews Vinnie, Nick and Olivia Longhi, Anthony, Mia and Gianna Antinone, Mason and Anton Hewko, Joseph and Emilia Longhi; and her beloved cat, Sammy. Per Antoinette's request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062. Reverend Father Anthony Thurston will officiate. Entombment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.   2. To Toni’s family: I am so very very sorry to hear of your loss. I met Toni while working at Weirton Steel and we found out later that my grandmother & her mom were friends back in the day & I use to bring my grandmother to the house to visit! (Toni was older than me so she was never there at the time). As they say: she’s at peace now and with the Lord. She will definitely be missed.
