Antonietta Aria

Antonietta Aria, 99, of Weirton, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born April 25, 1911 in Uhrichsville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Antonia Prestipino Fasola. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph Aria in 1983. Mrs. Aria was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Antonietta is survived by her son Ted Aria and his wife Hope of Weirton; daughters Rose Marie Saitta of Farmingdale, NY and Antoinette Fleming of Evanston, IL; sisters Jenny Muscara and Louise Guisto both of Weirton and Margaret Mitchell of Mystic, Connecticut; eight grandchildren Marie, Richard, Alexander (Carmen), Bryan (Nid), David (Mary), Patrick (Miriam), Marie and Danielle and six great-grandchildren David, Julian, Caroline, Michael, Scarlett and Amber. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with The Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer officiating. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery. Antonietta's family is most appreciative of the care given to their mother by the staff of the Weirton Geriatric Center.
